ADDICTION SUPPORT
Helping people manage their behaviour via personalised coaching.
Supporting 'Affected Others'.
Addiction affects people in all walks of life and is more common than you might think. If you are struggling with a dependency of any kind, please know that you are not alone.
We are here for anyone who wants help with their drug use, alcohol use or other addictive behaviour.

Over 75% of our staff have some lived experience of addictive behaviour. They understand and empathise.

We focus on helping people with addictive behaviour relating to
ALCOHOL,DRUGS AND GAMBLING
At CHANGE, we understand that addiction is a complex and deeply personal struggle.
We believe that addiction is not a choice, but a symptom of a larger condition. Our mission is to provide help that addresses the root causes of addiction.
Through our unique programme and practices, we create a safe and warm environment of mutual understanding.
We empower individuals to regain control of their lives, heal from their past, and embrace a brighter future.
We support friends and family negatively impacted by a loved one's behaviour with advice and care.
We do not require our clients to completely abstain although many choose this path.
At CHANGE we support anyone who feels their addiction or substance use is problematic. We don’t require people to give up using altogether if that’s not what they want to do, but we do focus on the reduction of harm to themselves and to others.

We believe everyone is capable of change.
Often, we help clients uncover the reasons for their substance use and find other safer, healthier, more effective ways to manage their mental health. Our clients learn to live in a more resourceful, satisfying way without relying on substance or behavioural addiction.

CHANGE support services are based on One to One recovery support which usually takes place online and always with an experienced, qualified coach.

We can also tell you about peer support groups and drop-in sessions, health and wellbeing activities and events for clients after they leave CHANGE to help them maintain the changes they have made.

If you would like to have a confidential conversation with one of our team please get in touch with us by calling the CHANGE line on 01539 266061 or completing the form here to ask for a call back.
Adult Behaviour Management
At CHANGE, we offer adults prompt, confidential One to One support with an expert, qualified health coach. They will meet with you online on a regular basis for a period of six to eight weeks, depending on your needs.

Together, you will work out achievable stages to aim for and your coach will create a programme of support to help you change your behaviour.
Young People
At CHANGE, we offer One to One support to young people with a qualified and vetted coach.
In most of these cases, other adults will know that we are supporting the young person but we believe young people require privacy and we promise to respect their choices while keeping their safety s top priority.

Supporting young people can be complicated for a number of reasons. Most of these relate to consent, safeguarding and good practice requiring a multi-agency approach.

Sometimes, young people do not feel that there is a problem with their behaviour - it is adults that have the problem!

We can also offer separate support to those affected by addictive behaviour such as Mums and Dads for example.
Family, Friends and Colleagues
It's not unusual for us to be contacted by a family member, friend or colleague who is worried about someone. We can help by suggesting ways to persuade the person in question to come to us in a positive and safe manner because every client must choose to refer themselves to us for help.

The stresses and anxiety of living with someone who is an addict can have lasting negative effects on relationships.

We can help with One to One support and also offer group support opportunities.
